This third edition of Professor Dacie's book on laboratory hematology is 206 pages larger than its second revision 7 years ago, and is now co-authored by Dr. Lewis. The increase in size represents both the growth of hematologic techniques within laboratories in this period and the combined contributions of two established scientists which expand the scope of their text. New chapters now treat the subjects of radioisotopes in hematology, blood volume, erythrokinetics, and investigation of the megaloblastic anemias. It is evident that former chapters are rewritten, and that all methods are brought quite up-to-date. The introduction states "the book is
