A monumental survey of present and projected health facilities and services in Canada with recommendations to the Federal and provincial governments for a program of comprehensive health care. The report begins with these detailed recommendations and a short review of their implications in needs for manpower, facilities, and finance. The bulk of the rest of the report is an exhaustive examination of Canada's present population and its health problems, of existing health services complex (personnel, facilities, drugs, insurance costs), future needs in health care, and future costs of health services, especially in relation to the Canadian economy.
