Here is the story of an attempt at postgraduate medical education, the regional hospital plan of New York University, with a detailed analysis of the birth, life, and death of the program. After much deliberation on the part of the faculty, a plan was evolved that involved the faculty as the cohesive force in an educational endeavor that focused on several hospitals in the geographic area surrounding New York City.
The authors, in a rather gossipy and redundant way, tell the reader of the enthusiasm of everyone who had anything to do with the plan. One is impressed with a
