Apparently in print for some time but only recently translated into English, this volume summarizes some of the authors' clinical and experimental experience with pyelonephritis and obstructive urinary tract disease. Drawing on this work, they propose several theories regarding the pathogenesis of atrophic pyelonephritis and hydronephrosis. The translation, although somewhat uneven, is adequate and the book is generously illustrated.
