It is hard to believe that a textbook of neurological diagnosis can become outmoded, but this has happened to Dr. Monrad-Krohn's book which from its first edition in 1921 to the twelfth just published has been periodically revised, but not frequently enough to keep pace with the times. It is accurate in the information which it contains, but one expects more from a book of this nature. It must be readable and not interrupted, as this one is, with frequent footnotes, excursions in philosophy, asterisks, and changes in type style.
