Once again the Ciba Foundation has published proceedings of a colloquium dealing with contemporary problems of interest to the clinican and researcher. The conference, held in October, 1963, brought together world-renown authorities interested in carbohydrate metabolism and the aftermath of defects in such metabolism. Under the chairmanship of Professor Tunbridge of Leeds, the conference honored the world dean of diabetology, Dr. Charles Best, and focused upon specific aspects of diabetes from an epidemiological, physiological, and pathological view.
