Nowadays, methods of investigation available in medicine are sophisticated and require special knowledge in their manipulation. The majority of reports presented in this volume describe studies in which the methods of investigation are complex and the results obtained difficult to interpret; conclusions derived from such data may or may not be valid. The varied opinions expressed by the different authors in the first three papers dealing with tracer kinetic studies using radioisotopes are alone evidence of the confusion existing in the interpretation of such data.
