Immunology has been a stepchild of the curriculum of our medical schools but has encouraged, in recent years, the publication of excellent textbooks. Since this volume bridges the gap between laboratory and classroom, it is not surprising that the second edition had to be published only 1 year after the first. The book deserves such acclaim because it is so well tailored for its specific objective.
No one can quarrel with the authors of a short textbook about the material which they see fit to include. They offer abundant information. I have only a few notes on paragraphs which have
