Experimental Cancer Chemotherapy, the first section of this continuation volume, is covered in depth by 65 articles. Representative papers include general reviews of the field by Heidelberger (Wisconsin) and Karnofsky (New York). Other papers are concerned with the treatment of specific neoplasms and with studies on the large variety of antineoplastic compounds, some old—others very new. The quality of the presentations ranges from very high to mediocre.
The high point of both volumes is reached in this second section which treats new chemotherapeutic drugs and particularly new penicillins in 41 articles. Familiar names in the penicillin field—Doyle, Rolinson, Knox, Bunn,
