The general physician has long been in need of a practical guide to the treatment of those minor emotional disorders in his patients that comprise such a major portion of the problems of medical practice. The author of this little book has tried to respond to this need in writing a primer for the "occasional psychotherapist"—the internist or general practitioner who would like to make the best use of his time and skills in that aspect of his practice relating to psychological medicine.
