The edited proceedings of a seminar on serum proteins and dysproteinemias held in Washington under the auspices of the Association of Clinical Scientists comprise this volume edited by the Drs. Sunderman. This seminar was organized to acquaint clinical scientists with advances in methodology of the serum proteins and expansion of knowledge of the dysproteinemias. Fifty-nine authors have pooled their efforts in writing the 45 chapters of this book. The chapters on "Structure of the Immunoglobulins," "Genetic Variation of Human Serum Proteins," "Ion Exchange Chromatography of Amino Acids," and "Protein Hydrolysates" are authoritatively written.
