Walter hess teaches at the University of Basle, and his book presumably represents the current progress of biliary and pancreatic surgery in Europe. He has been particularly concerned with the development of a technique of pressure measurements during operative cholangiography, which he calls radiomanometry. The possible advantages of this procedure are described and illustrated in minute detail.
