Although dealing with a subject area in which many books have been written, the authors point out that there remains a need for "the definitive monograph" on coagulation problems. While this work does not qualify for that title, it certainly will function well as a concise source of information for the clinician until such a work is available. The combination of fright upon being confronted by a "bleeder" and bewilderment upon confronting the "coagulation vocabulary" can be eliminated by having this book at hand.
