In the view of a hematologist, the title of this book may be somewhat misleading. Its ten articles are essentially reviews of work that has been well known for the past several years, at least to those men working in the specific areas covered by these papers. However, to members of the profession in general and to many hematologists not directly concerned with investigative studies, this compilation of papers provides, for the most part, a good review of current work and ideas in these areas.
