After the thalidomide tragedy, the Commission of Drug Safety was created. Its subcommittee on teratology recommended a workshop in this new science. This book represents the lectures and the demonstrations of a workshop in teratology held at the University of Florida, February 2 to 8, 1964. The workshop's purpose was to bring together the views on methodology of its distinguished contributors in this field and to let them share and disseminate information to the participants and observers. Eleven outstanding authorities of America and Canada contributed to this workshop.
In essence this book can be considered a textbook of teratology and
