By its nature this book does not provide a good introduction to, or review of, studies of sleep, but it contains several contributions representative of some of the more interesting experimental and clinical studies of sleep phenomena now in progress. This volume, a loosely edited verbatim proceedings of a symposium on "Physiological, Pharmacological and Clinical Aspects of Sleep," held in Zurich in September of 1964, is the latest in an uneven series of some twenty or more volumes related to basic and clinical research aspects of nervous function.
