This small volume provides an edited account of a symposium on therapeutic agents and the liver held June, 1964, at the Royal Free Hospital in London. Formal presentations consisted of papers on (1) the effect of drugs on hepatic transport, conjugation, and biliary secretion; (2) characteristics of drug reactions on the human liver; and (3) alcohol and the liver. Much of the information presented in these sections is available in individual publications elsewhere. As should be true of a conference of this type, the most significant contribution was provided in discussion. Dr. Gorringe of Parke Davis & Co., Great Britain,
