Active interest in experimental circulatory physiology in animals and man in recent years has been responsible for a notable growth of information in many areas of circulatory function. A time for review, digestion, and interpretation of this new knowledge has arisen. This volume, the third in a series devoted to the circulation, represents the completion of the monumental effort of the American Physiologic Society to accomplish this task.
