Volume 3 of a series of works devoted to special pathological anatomy has now appeared. The series is edited by Professors Doerr and Uehlinger, is published by Springer, and the author of the current volume, devoted to diseases of the kidneys and urinary passages, is Professor Zollinger—names which all augur well. It was, therefore, only to be expected that the volume under review here should be well received. It is modestly called a "teaching and reference text." While factually correct, this cool understatement hardly does justice to the scope of this work, since the references alone amount to 151 pages
