In his preface to this volume, Mr. de Reuck notes that the inclusion of a meeting on the genesis and resolution of conflict "among the symposia arranged by the Ciba Foundation, devoted as it is to promoting international cooperation and research into the healing sciences . . . seems . . . to require no apology." Not only do this symposium and the resulting volume require no apology; they merit our commendation of the Ciba Foundation for another in its long line of public services.
