The emphasis, in this paperbacked introductory textbook in neurology, is on neurological examination, topographical diagnosis, and common clinical problems. In its organization and content it lies somewhere between the Mayo Clinic's Examinations in Neurology and Brain's Clinical Neurology. It contains more information about neurological disease than does Examinations in Neurology but less than Brain's Clinical Neurology. It provides quite extensive information about neuroanatomy and neurophysiology and about physical diagnosis, which is absent from other well-known American textbooks of neurology.
