Evaluation of cardiac performance requires analysis of both pressure and flow data. Eleven right heart catheterizations were performed (six included exercise observations) to compare measurements of pressure and flow before and immediately after conversion of atrial fibrillation to normal sinus rhythm (NSR). Six patients (seven studies), mean age 62, had ischemic or idiopathic heart disease. Four patients, mean age 41.5, had undergone previous mitral valvulotomy.
