Dr. Schindler has updated the 1950 edition of his book on gastroscopy by adding 4 pages of new figures, 15 pages of new text in the form of an introduction, and 2 pages of photographic color plates. Sandwiched in between the 1966 introduction and the color plates are the 414 pages and 10 color plates of the 1950 edition, unaltered except for a bibliographic annex of 191 references.
