Since the publication of Volume I in 1956 and the release of subsequent volumes every 2 to 3 years, Progress in Hematology has proved extremely valuable in providing informative and comprehensible articles on the current status of investigation in the various branches of the ever-expanding specialty of hematology as well as in closely related fields. Volume V maintains a good balance between articles dealing primarily with basic biochemical and serologic mechanisms and those reviews that are more clinically oriented.
