One must admire the effort involved in the careful tabulation of diseases recognized by this author in his training years, military service, 3 years of private practice, and 10 years of general practice under the National Health Service in Yorkshire, England. A record of the frequency with which he suspected and confirmed various diagnoses forms the basis of the larger, second part of this pocket-size handbook. Pertinent diagnostic features and clinical pointers are listed for each illness, and for many the seasonal incidence is also charted.
The author excludes from discussion any reference to therapy but in the first section
