This beautifully produced boor represents essentially an atlas of the morphological aspects of hepatitis. While this at first would seem to be a somewhat limited approach, the discussion of the differential diagnostic problems widens its horizon. The material in this monograph—"Büchlein" the author modestly calls it—is based on about 7,000 liver biopsies. This experience in itself would be of interest, and the book possesses additional features which make it a valuable addition to the libraries of pathologists and internists.
