To the Editor: The recent article by Goodwin and Friedman, "The Effects of Renal Impairment, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Hemodialysis on Serum Sodium Colistimethate Levels" (Ann. Intern. Med. 68: 984, 1968) contains several statements with which we disagree. These are as follows:
[1] Goodwin and Friedman state that peak serum concentrations in our study (1) were higher than those obtained in 10 patients studied by Wright and Welch.
