A well-known, concise, and detailed textbook of normal human physiology. Properly conceived and designed for the student in a conventional curriculum but with its omission of pathophysiology is inadequate for a curriculum that includes scientific analysis of disease from the first year on. Suitable for a general review of physiology by the practicing physician but not recommended for the house officer or training fellow in a subspecialty of internal medicine.
