Several attractive and important features make "Judge and Zuidema" stand out among current works on physical diagnosis. The sturdy paperback production combines economy with a gentle reminder that the scientific basis and techniques of physical examination improve rapidly enough to warrant the user replacing his textbook every few years. In a book that fulfills the needs of medical students, the chapters on the eye, the circulatory system, and the acutely injured patient have exceptional merit. The illustrations are models of clarity and educationally valuable artistry.
