Lawrence Reynolds (1889-1961) was apprenticed in medicine, its history, and its literature when he became the eyes of his blind physician-father. During 40 years as a pioneer radiologist and ardent bibliophile Dr. Reynolds, with stimulation from friends Harvey Cushing and Henry Schuman, collected the medical books and incunabula that he gave to the University of Alabama in 1958. Martha Lou Thomas has compiled this bibliography of the Reynolds Historical Library of which his gift is the nucleus.
