Obviously designed for the medical student, if it had been written to cover American medico-legal aspects of medical practice rather than the British counterpart it would undoubtedly serve in many U. S. medical schools as the small text in Forensic Medicine. However, the first third of the book is devoted primarily to British death certificate forms, British law bearing on medical practice, British court procedure, and British etc., to which American practices are similar but not identical. The third of the volume devoted to forensic pathology is an excellent short presentation of the subject; the few line drawings and diagrams
