The last decade has seen several important events in the field of Rh isoimmunization. Amniocentesis has been accepted as a method of assessing severity of fetal disease; the value of multiple intrauterine transfusions has been investigated, and the use of anti-D in the prevention of isoimmunization has been established. A review of the subject is needed, and apparently this book is an attempt to meet the need. It is only partially successful.
There are eleven contributors (all associated with the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center), and the editors seem to have had difficulty in keeping the primary theme sharply
