To the editor: It is disappointing to note the introduction of partisan politics into the editorial pages of the ANNALS OF INTERNAL MEDICINE. The recent comments concerning the rejection of Dr. Knowles as Assistant Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare present one side of a political controversy. The accuracy of the view expressed is not so important as the principle involved.
Since the ANNALS is an official publication of the American College of Physicians, do political views expressed in editorial form imply approval of the College? Of the editorial board? Or simply of the editor?
Will the ANNALS offer space
