This primer is for those previously unexposed to the terminology and concepts of lipid transport and its disorders. Its introductory and concluding chapters could provide the medical student, generalist, and internist with the terms necessary for further exploration of this new and rapidly developing field. However, its usefulness for those familiarizing themselves with this area suffers greatly from the book's dearth of references after 1967.
