The revision of this text has not been extensive. It covers common clinical neurology in a traditional and adequate fashion. Inclusion of Refsum's syndrome and McArdle's disease is justified as demonstrating how neurologic disease can be investigated and understood at a subcellular level. As presented in the text the point is lost. The brevity of these sections does not allow a real understanding of the diseases, and there is no adequate indication of the many neurologic diseases that are now being explored and explained in these terms.
