A 12-year-old negro boy with his second episode of jaundice is reported. A stone in the common bile duct contained a cuticle and multiple ova of Ascaris lumbricoides. Characteristics of Ascaris lumbricoides that predispose to formation of biliary stones are discussed. This is the first case of formation of a biliary stone due to ascariasis reported in the United States.
