During the past 30 years a great amount of knowledge on renin-angiotensin and hypertension has been accumulated. But very often the information is contradictory, making a complete expert review and an attempt to synthesize this very important field of medical science very praiseworthy but considerably difficult. The author of this book has been largely successful in achieving this goal, due not only to his extensive literary knowledge but also to his own research experiences in this topic.
The book is divided in two sections. Section A is a review of the basic information on the renin-angiotensin system. In Chapters I
