A compact, meaty handbook of methods in diagnosis and treatment for pre- and post-operative needs, trauma, emergency problems, and minor outpatient complaints. Covers all anatomical systems, including the teeth; includes details, such as those on use of cytotoxic drugs and on extracorporeal circulation that would probably not be discussed in most American texts of this broad kind. Despite use of British drug names (and suppliers) and other nationalisms, is a thorough, useful, low-priced guide that could be helpful to the young house officer or physician thrust into minor or major surgery without adequate practical preparation.
