To the editor: I have read with interest recent reports of the agreement reached by a number of "major U. S. medical journals" to adopt a uniform style of bibliographic citation based on the form used in Index Medicus. I don't know what the criteria were for inquiring of journals which might agree to accept this style. However, it may interest you to know that since its inception, Postgraduate Medicine has followed the style of the previous quarterly Cumulative Index Medicus and that of the current IM for bibliographic citations. The only thing we have not done is to drop
