The rapidly expanding body of information about disease and its mechanisms provides a strong impetus for continuous updating of bedside examination. This is especially true in the study of cardiac physiology, where the clinician has been provided with a great opportunity for improvement and refinement of his bedside skills. Through a thoughtful presentation Dr. Constant has detailed cardiovascular physical findings and their interpretation. Analogous to the "programmed text" the author has presented all the material in question-and-answer form.
