A comprehensive review of the entire field of hematology is provided in this thoroughly up-to-date text of approximately 800 pages. Each section is well organized and provides a wealth of information drawn predominantly from the recent hematologic literature as well as from the authors' personal experience. Despite the scope and bulk of the material encompassed, the text is clearly and concisely written. Only in a few instances does the coverage of the material seem unbalanced.
