Hematology is one of several medical specialties that have greatly benefited from the development of electron microscopic techniques. Studies on the fine structure of cells in the peripheral blood and bone marrow have provided hematologists with new insights into the functional aspects of these cells and their organelles. The authors are presenting this volume as an introduction to electron microscopic hematology.
