The title Team Practice and the Specialist on a monograph put out by a familiar publisher of medical monographs will suggest to the physician a discussion of the subject oriented to his frame of reference. He should be forewarned. This is an academic treatment of interdisciplinary team function with specific cases largely selected from the guidance, counseling, and juvenile court areas. It is also written in a somewhat tedious and repetitious style. These features will alienate many medical readers. These caveats having been inscribed, however, I would like to make a plea for patience with this little volume. It has
