Despite the fact that epilepsy remains the second commonest diagnostic entity in most neurological centers, there is no modern treatise on management which is both comprehensive as well as unifying and authoritative. This volume cannot achieve such a result, and, in fact, the goal of the editor has been to present multiple points of view with emphasis on key areas of recent scientific advances. Within this scope, the work is a success.
