Skin diseases in children are largely handled by pediatricians and general practitioners, the majority of whom have had little or no formal training in dermatology. Thus, an atlas or handbook of pediatric dermatology can provide many physicians with inestimable help, especially if it is stocked with excellent color plates and an accurate, readable, well-organized text.
The book of Dr. G. W. Korting of the University Hospital in Mainz, Germany, translated and adapted for American readers by the well-known and able dermatologists Drs. William and Helen Ollendorff Curth, is a serious attempt in this direction. Although comprehensive in content with 32
