The current impact of radionuclide imaging-techniques on the diagnosis of diseases of the lung and heart clearly represents a medical breakthrough of historic importance. The state of the art is handsomely documented in this reasonably priced publication, the second volume of the Atlas of Nuclear Medicine. The book is richly illustrated with isotope scans of a broad spectrum of diseases of the lung and heart, primarily those associated with a disturbance of the bloodflow through the cardiopulmonary circulation.
