To the editor: For some months I have been of two minds about responding to Dana Farnsworth's contribution to the September 1970 ANNALS ("Student Mental Health and Social Change"). When the December ANNALS arrived with your editorial "Things That Go Bump in the Night," my rebuttal had been on my desk for more than a month.
Dr. Farnsworth goes beyond your reaffirmation of much humanity among men. He says that our institutions are designed to eliminate the enumerated evils of Western Civilization at this time in history. The young and the honest know that this is not true. I cannot let such an assertion from on high go unchallenged. Clearly I cannot
