When medical writers write about medical writing, they may display great variation in style, but there tends to be a sameness to what they say. This book is no exception, save for part of one essay. This sameness is not really a just reason for criticism; the faults of medical writing, enumerated, make a short list, and everyone who has a serious interest in medical writing knows the list and mentions some or all the faults whenever he writes or teaches.
