Baltimore City Hospital Case No. 469861 was that of a negro woman who had been born 22 years before in the Okefenokee Swamp on Friday the thirteenth. She was one of three girls delivered that day by a midwife who stated that all three were hexed: the first would die before her sixteenth birthday, the second before her 21st birthday, and the third (the patient) before her 23rd birthday.
