The common arterial disorders of the extremities are clearly and succinctly presented for residents and others not primarily concerned with these problems in this book, which is easily read in an evening. The discussions of the history, the examination, the course, and management of the patients with claudication, acute and chronic ischemia, and Raynaud's syndrome are excellent and supplement the standard textbooks of medicine. The text is uncluttered, and the selected references are reasonably current and listed separately by chapter.
In the chapter on the normal circulation I would have liked more discussion of the physics of blood flow in
